The stunning greenery and beaches of Canggu are idyllic to an increasingly large public. Sometimes referred to as the fast developing new expat area, Canggu's greenery can reach as far as its sandy beaches. Most surfers are no stranger to the town's whopping waves. Swells are bigger and better for the more experienced wave-catcher and the surf crowd differs somewhat from the ones in Seminyak and Kuta. After being 'rediscovered' as an area exuding serenity and peace, Canggu is undergoing a spurt of progression. In the next couple of years the town will be better equipped to pander to the more demanding visitor while, at the same time, it will likely lose some of its appeal by flocks of travellers escaping from hectic Seminyak and Kuta.
